About Legacy Karate

Legacy Karate is affiliated to SKCE (Shotokan Karate Centres England) and opened its doors on February 4th 2016 to children 4+ years of age as well as adults.

Sensei Alexandra Merisoiu holds 4th Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate, is an international competitor representing England and 3 times World Champion and instructor under SKCE. She has been studying Martial Arts since 1995, including Shotokan Karate, Daito Ryu and Ninjutsu.

SKCE is dedicated to traditional Shotokan Karate which is the most widespread and popular Japanese style of the art.

Sensei Alexandra is also a qualified Level 4 Personal Trainer, holding many qualifications in the industry including low back pain management and prevention exercise instructor. She specialises in Running Technique helping runners run lighter and with less risk of injuries. Read more about Sensei Alexandra.

Furthermore Karate develops your body evenly, working with both your arms and legs, using the left and right side of your body. You also train your memory by performing specific patterns of movement at a certain pace and in a specific form.

Martial Arts Shotokan Karate classes take place in Oxted, at Oxted School Bluehouse Ln, Oxted RH8 0AB:

Day: Wednesday
Time: 7-8:30 pm
Hall: Gym Hall
For: beginners and advanced

Day: Monday
Time: 6:30-7:30 pm
Hall: Old Hall
For: beginners and advanced

Bank holidays and school holidays: classes take place through school holidays and bank holidays. Exception is when Oxted School is closed to everyone 21st December – 3rd January.
